Blue North Scuba Club is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. Personal information is collected, used and maintained over the course of the membership year by only three members of the Executive Board. Personal information is deleted at the end of the membership year if the person has not renewed.
Online Membership Application
The Blue North Scuba Club website collects membership information such as contact information and scuba certification details. We use this information to notify you of dives and other events through Survey Monkey and Gmail, and to ensure your safety and the safety of other divers by confirming your certification training, and to track emergency contact information. Membership information is stored in a secure location, and deleted after your membership has expired at yearend.
Newsletter
We use MailChimp to host and manage our newsletter. When you seek membership to Blue North Scuba Club, we ask for your name and a valid email address in order to send you information about the dive schedule and other Blue North news and events. The newsletter has an option that allows you to unsubscribe at any time. Unsubscribe requests are fulfilled promptly, and no further communications will be sent to you. MailChimp privacy policy outlines what specific information is gathered on their site and how that information is used.
