| Who’s invited: Everyone interested in Blue North Scuba Club is invited to attend the 2026 Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Blue North Scuba. People interested in our club, members, past members, potential new members, HHUC members, HHUC Training members, are all invited. We’d love to hear from you. And maybe if you are not yet a member, you would be interested to join the club! AGM topics: This will be your chance to hear reports from the Directors and review a financial report for the year. Discussions will be held about the activities of the Club, and what the future holds for Blue North. New business will be entertained. By-Law amendment: Our By-Laws state that “Scuba Members” are voting members. On Jan. 13, 2026, the Blue North Board voted to change the voting privileges of “Non-scuba Members” from non-voting to voting members. This change will be ratified at the AGM: “non-scuba members: are voting members who are not eligible to scuba dive during Club sanctioned activities. There will be one vote per non-scuba member.” Voting members: Members of Blue North Scuba Club for 2025 / 2026 are voting members. Elections: At this meeting, the Board of Directors for 2026 will be elected. This year several Directors have their terms expiring and some Directors have one year left in their term. Members may nominate another person at the meeting for any Board position on this year’s roster. We would love to have a few more people on the Blue North Board if you are interested in volunteering – For example, as a “Member without Portfolio” to find out how the Board works and not have too much responsibility for the first year. Or as one of these available positions: Dive Coordinator, Events Director, Newsletter Editor and Social Media Director.
